Since 1925, the company has designed, manufactured and marketed innovative and customized solutions for nurseries, pre-schools, schools, libraries and cultural centers. Our Italian design furnishings are safe and built with materials and finishes of utmost quality and compliance with the most stringent European technical standards (UNI-EN).

Maria Montessori

Maria Montessori commissions the first Montessori teaching materials from the carpenter Bassoli in Gonzaga. One of the youngest employees, Cesare Baroni, works closely with Maria Montessori herself.

Cesare Baroni co-founds the company ‘Baroni e Marangon’.

The GAM headquarters

The GAM headquarters represent the philosophy of the company, its bond to its region of origin and its cultural and social dimension. It is located in down- town Gonzaga, just a few steps from the city’s main square, and offers its spaces to the community. The library-ludotheque hosts conventions, reading sessions and workshops for families and school groups.The space is furnished using GAM furniture and objects, changed often to present new items. The main office centre of GAM is modern, bright and cheerful.The large open space reflects the way we work: through exchange, relations, search for positive innovation. MEMO – the Memory of Montessori space – is a cultural center.The exhibition of precious vintage materials illustrates the period in which Maria Mon- tessori lived in Gonzaga.The conference hall hosts meetings and conventions regarding pedagogy.

Association Montessori Internationale has a unique role as custodian of the history of the Montessori movement, maintaining the integrity of Maria Montessori’s legacy. In this role,AMI is responsible for articulating Montessori philosophy and practice clearly, in order to meet the needs of children and influence educational paradigms in a rapidly changing world.AMI’s pedagogical integrity maintains the level of excellence that Maria Montessori envisaged in the application of Montessori pedagogy in practice.AMI pedagogical standards ensure that AMI recognised schools offer programmes that allow children to develop their physical, intellectual, social and emotional potential and ensure that the approach is con- sistent with the content presented in AMI training courses worldwide.AMI’s mission is to support the natural development of the human being from birth to maturity. Designs

GAM offers excellent design services.We listen to needs, analyze the context, accurately design the spaces, pay attention to details.These are the stages every GAM project is made of. Detailed floor plans and 3D renderings are used to illustrate appealing and functional education spaces.

Montessori materials

It’s been over a hundred years since the first Montessori materials were created, but the same principles still govern and drive GAM in the development of new products.The objecting is to offer children the quality furniture and materials consistent with Maria Montessori’s guidelines.
