Fine motor skills Fine motor skills are all about the coordination of small muscle movements mostly on body parts such as the fingers, usually in coordination with the eyes. The main goal is to prepare children for writing. Tying shoelaces, using scissors and completing a puzzle are activities which stimulate fine motor skills.
